PERTH AMBOY – Live at the Ferry Slip Music Series, a free concert series held at the Perth Amboy Ferry Slip, continues on Saturday August 5th from 7-9pm, featuring 2 bands, San Simón and GMJ Groove.

San Simón is a seven piece combo that plays original soul songs with an Afro-Caribbean pulse, borrowing from American and Latin Caribbean music with both old and new influences. They will play songs from their debut EP “Talk to Me” featuring psychedelic merengues, electric raras, righteous neosoul and funky afrobeats.

GMJ Groove will perform at the Ferry Slip Aug 5th.

GMJ Groove is a trio consisting of saxophone, bass, guitar, electric violin and percussion. GMJ Groove plays an eclectic mix of Funk, Jazz, Reggae and R&B with occasional forays into Blues, Middle Eastern and Latin musical styles.

The show is free and all ages. There is room for dancing and some limited seating available. Enjoy great live music, beautiful views of Raritan Bay and the full moon. Also check out the Ferry Slip Museum and the food trucks, ice cream parlor & bars and restaurants along the marina and waterfront.

Live at the Ferry Slip Original Music Series is hosted by Perth Amboy Artworks in partnership with the Historic City of Perth Amboy Ferry Slip Museum and The City of Perth Amboy Honorable Mayor Wilda Diaz.
