Obituary: Mary Frances Malone Jackson

Mary Frances (Malone) Jackson
1924-2018

Mary Frances (Malone) Jackson, 93, was born November 28,1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She graduated from William Penn High School in Philadelphia as a valedictorian of her class and received a full scholarship to Philadelphia Art Museum. She was unable to commence her studies due to the outbreak of WWII and, instead, worked as a mechanical artisan and draftsperson in support of the war effort.

Mary Frances, a vibrant woman with a full life and a truly loving spirit, volunteered to many public and private organizations. Such as, Perth Amboy Housing Authority, at Delaney Homes as a volunteer server for the summer lunch program. Mary Frances also worked as a hospice volunteer for the Raritan Bay Medical Center, and many others.

Toward the end of WWII Mary Frances met her future husband, Alfred S. Jackson Jr. They were married in June 1945 and made their home in Perth Amboy, NJ.  From their union, six children were born, Maria Franzelle, Alfred Samuel III, Aaron Adam, Andre Rotan (deceased), Mona Felicia (deceased), and Monique Fanette. Continuing their legacy with nine grandchildren: Johnnie Parsons Jr., Leila Yassine Raysor, Aminah Raysor, Kareem Rashad Jackson, Aaron Maurice Streater, Aaron Jackson Jr., Asara Clark, Jason Jackson, and Brittany Diona Jackson and thirteen great grandchildren. Mary Frances leaves fond memories with all her extended family, cousins and close friends to hold her memory dear.

Mary Frances was predeceased by her husband, Alfred S. Jackson Jr., her mother, Fannie Mae Malone and sister, Geraldine Dunn one brother, Joseph.

There will be Memorial Service at Concord Missionary Baptist Church, 795 State St. Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 from 11:00 am on Friday 2/9/2018.
