
PERTH AMBOY — MoPA (The Museums of Perth Amboy) is holding a lavish party to watch the fireworks in Perth Amboy on July 3. It’s vantage point from the second floor of the Armory Restaurant will give an incredible view of the fireworks being shot from a barge on the Raritan.
Guests will enjoy unlimited food, beer, wine, sangria and soft drinks to the tunes of dance and patriotic music. The Perth Amboy museums will offer displays.
Adult tickets cost $60 for this food filled, fun filled evening which begins at 7 p.m. Discounts and children’s tickets are also available, with children five and under free. An optional $10 parking pass gives guaranteed close parking. All proceeds will benefit the museums in the city.
MoPA is a 501 (C) 3 formed under the Diaz administration. Its mission is to help protect ad preserve the historic sites in Perth Amboy. Coordination of events and publicity is handled by its board. It’s special mission is to teach children history in a way that gives them an appreciation of our past and a determination to protect it for the future. Even the youngest children can become involved in some of the activities.
