PERTH AMBOY — Mark your calendars. The Friends of the Perth Amboy Free Public Library are hosting the 3rd Annual Taste of Perth Amboy on Tuesday, October 2 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. in the Community Center of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Sadowski Parkway and Wisteria St. in Perth Amboy. Sample the various cuisines of the diverse neighborhood restaurants and enjoy an evening of food, fun and friendship. All funds raised will support the renovation and expansion of the library.

Music will be provided by D.J. Andy Rios. The evening will also include door prizes and a silent auction.

This year the Friends of the Library, working in conjunction with the Kearney Cottage Historical Society, will be participating in a 2013 Calendar Fundraiser Project. Old restored photographs of Perth Amboy will be added to a 2013 calendar and available for sale at the Taste. Proceeds from the sale of the calendars will benefit both groups.
