The Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. will be celebrated throughout the area starting this weekend. A list of events are:

PERTH AMBOY– The Cathedral International located at at 277 Madison Ave will begin with a 10 a.m. celebration this Saturday, January 19 with local clergy and Mayor Wilda Diaz.

EDISON – A celebration will be on Saturday, January 19 at 1 p.m. at the Minnie B. Veal Community Center., 1070 Grove Ave.

METUCHEN – There will be an interfaith service on Sunday, January 20 at 3:30 p.m., New Hope Baptist Church, 45 Hampton St., Metuchen. On Monday, January 21st, a Memorial Breakfast will be held at the Pines Manor 2085 Route 27, Edison at 8:30 a.m.

WOODBRIDGE – An interfaith community service on Monday, January 21 at 7 p.m. at the Woodbridge Community Center with Mayor John E. McCormac and clergy from local churches.
