The photo that appeared in the Guardian of Chief Ruiz, in full uniform, at Mayor Diaz’ election night headquarters, counting votes with Greg Diaz and Kenneth Gonzalez was very telling. Taxpayers now know what people such as South Jersey political boss George Norcross [who gave $24,000 to Mayor Diaz] and even closer to home, what political boss Joseph Vitale [who gave $24,000 to Mayor Diaz, $1500 to BOE ticket New Vision New Voice, $7,200 to Democrats United for Perth Amboy and $4,300 to Comite Patriotico Cultural Puertorriqueno] paid for. That’s an unprecedented amount of money but the Bosses must think it was worth it.

These bosses want to own the Mayor and want to be assured the Mayor owns the Chief. Joe Vas owned his Chief and a Perth Amboy police report states that a new server that was ordered by the police department was never used by the PAPD and ended up in Vas campaign headquarters. The Department of Criminal Justice took possession of the server in 2009 and still has it to this day. The question this photo raises is who is watching the Diaz store now — the Chief or perhaps the Councilman who was also in the picture – Kenneth Gonzalez? Wait a minute, wasn’t Gonzalez in the Vas store?
