PASOS Women’s Basketball Challenge, on Aug. 15

UPDATE: The location of this event has been changed to the PASOS Athletic Facility, located 41-47 Wisteria Place and Sadowsky Parkway. It was originally announce that it would take place at the Perth Amboy High School gymnasiu.

PASOS (Pan American School of Sports), which has been created to provide transformative opportunities in athletics and the arts for Perth Amboy youth, will hold a benefit basketball game on Thursday August 15, 2013 at 7:00pm. The name of this event is: New York v. Perth Amboy Women’s Basketball Challenge. The participants are all former college basketball players who reside in New York City and New Jersey. Many of these women have played professional basketball in the WNBA, Puerto Rico, Greece, Poland, Holland, Sweden, Spain, Israel, and Australia. Also participating are players who have been members of the National Women’s Basketball Teams of Puerto Rico and Trinidad & Tobago.

These young women are all highly skilled athletes who played their sport at the highest levels and pursued higher education as well. One of our most important goals at PASOS is to connect sports and the arts with academic achievement for our youth.

Consequently, we are asking you to participate by attending this game which is now scheduled to take place this Thursday, August 15, at 7:00 p.m., at the PASOS Athletic Facility, located 41-47 Wisteria Place and Sadowsky Parkway, on the Perth Amboy Waterfront. There is parking at the rear of the building. The suggestion donation is $5.00, which will be used to support PASOS programs in sports and the arts. You will also get to see some of the best athletes in the New York Metropolitan Area compete against each other.
