Unmet Needs Policies – Middlesex County

MIDDLESEX COUNTY –

Unmet Needs Policy: The Middlesex County Long Term Recovery Group through its Unmet Needs Table shall address all needs request exceeding $5000.

Purpose: To provide financial assistance to families and individuals of Middlesex County for damage or loss to one’s primary dwelling as a result of a disaster.

Scope: This statement will apply to Middlesex County Long Term Recovery Group and member organizations with financial resources.

Procedure: Financial Requests In Excess Of $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars)

The Unmet Needs Table shall convene when the presenting need request exceeds $5000 per family or individual. Participation is inclusive of all participating LTRG organizations.

  • Organizations to be notified in advance of scheduled Unmet Needs Table
  • Case management presents pertinent facts of case history detailing hardship and resources obtained prior.
  • Discussion of case history by members present
  • Vote to approve request by member organizations or their designee with Disaster Relief financial resources. Currently, these are the following organizations but without limitations and in no particular order

MCLTRG — Middlesex County Long Term Recovery Group

UWCJ — United Way of Central Jersey

CCDOM — Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen

JRF — Jewish Renaissance Foundation

WOODBRIDGE TWP.

UMC — United Methodist Church

ARC — American Red Cross

PRAHD — Puerto Rican Association for Human Development

SSRG — Sayreville Storm Relief Group
