Biodegradable Bags (Brown Bags) Will Be Available Sept. 16, 2013 – Jan. 13, 2014

PERTH AMBOY 2013 Leaf Collection, Department of Public Works | Recycling Information. Bag Pick-Up Hours/Location: Monday- Friday; 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Except on holidays) Department of Public Works Recycling Center, 599 Fayette Street. Biodegradable Bags (Brown Bags) will be available September 16, 2013 – January 13, 2014. Every resident will receive 15 Brown Biogradable Leaf Bags. Please refer to the Zone List provided or visit us at, www.ci.perthamboy.nj.us for the collection day in your area.

• Do NOT bag leaves in plastic bags. Plastic bags will not be collected. They will remain at curbside until re-bagged in biodegradable leaf bags.

• Leaf bags are for leaves only! No twigs, garbage, grass or dirt will be accepted in these bags.

• WARNING: Do NOT blow or rake your leaves onto the street. This is dangerous and unsanitary. If you are caught you will be issued a summons!

SCHEDULED RUBBISH APPOINTMENTS

During the 2013-2014 Leaf Collection Program, all pick-up scheduling for rubbish appointments will be discontinued as of Monday, September 30, 2013. Scheduling for rubbish appointments will resume on Monday, January 20, 2014. Must schedule in person only, there is a collection fee of $30.00. Must bring check or money order only.

Bulk waste can be disposed of Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Public Works yard.

Must be a Perth Amboy resident.

Note: There are no changes to last year’s leaf collection schedule. Your leaf collection day remains the same as last year.
