MIDDLESEX COUNTY – A webinar will be held to provide information regarding the next step in FEMA’s flood mapping process for Middlesex County: the release of Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps. Constituents may be interested in this information, this webinar to updates you on the next steps in the process.
Please know that there is no change to the coastal flood hazard data that was released earlier this year; this is primarily a procedural update on the flood mapping process, with the addition of inland river flood hazard data.
The release of the Preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps indicates the first step in the official regulatory review process, and is extremely important in building a stronger and more resilient community. Subject matter experts from FEMA Region II and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) will discuss this update with your office and be available to answer questions.
