WINTER STORM WARNING
Wednesday, February 12, 2014 – Friday, February 14, 2014
Winter Storm Warning is in effect for heavy snow until 6:00 a.m. Friday with a sleet and ice, according to the National Weather Service. Property and business owners, please follow the NO PARKING/Snow Emergency Street listing and procedures for your safety.
SUMMARY: Snow accumulations of about 6 to 10 inches along with a trace of ice.
IMPACTS: Travel could be significantly impacted across the region especially on Thursday. In addition to travel impacts winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph will be possible on Thursday which could lead to power outages if heavy snow accumulations on power lines and tree limbs by the time winds increase.

COURT SESSIONS CLOSED: Perth Amboy Municipal Court sessions for Thursday 13 February at 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM have been cancelled. Those scheduled to appear will receive a mailed notice of their new court session date. If you wish to call the Court please call 732-442-6011 on Friday 14 February.
SNOW PROCEDURES
- Major and emergency roadways will be cleaned first for salting and snow plow/removal (see back/below for listing.)
- Municipal lots are available for parking except for RD Howell Lot on Madison Ave.
- When clearing snow from your property area, sidewalk or vehicle DO NOT throw snow onto the street or a summons will be issued. Shovel snow onto your lawn or side of your property.
- Be aware of parking restrictions/signs that state “No Parking When Roads Are Snow Covered”—Do NOT park in these spaces or car will be towed.
- Do NOT park in end section of a dead end/no outlet road.
- Please stay off the roads in severe conditions.
- If you must travel, please take extra caution and car pool, when possible.
- If you are near any fire hydrants, please assist in removing the snow in case it is needed in an emergency.
