PERTH AMBOY – The author Minou Tavares Mirabal, daughter of Minerva Mirabal, courageous freedom and women’s rights fighter who was assassinated by the Dominican dictator Rafael L. Trujilloand and was one of the three sisters depicted the movie, “In the Time of the Butterflies,” visited the Saturday Morning Family School on Saturday, March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The author visit took place at the E.J. Patten School Cafeteria from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Dr. Dulce Rodriguez, Principal of the Patten School and Milady Tejada, Board of Education Member were the event coordinators.
