PERTH AMBOY – The New Jersey Department of Education, in partnership with the Consortium for School Networking (COSN), recently selected the Samuel E. Shull Middle School as an “Innovate NJ Initiative” School.
This distinction recognizes that the school is a leader in the State of New Jersey in the use of technology to support instruction. The Samuel E. Shull School was selected as a Title I School that applies federal funding effectively by providing technology-rich classroom learning environments, supported with professional development and a collaborative PLC and House structure. Shull School has successfully implemented numerous technology Initiatives throughout all content areas, from the PMI/PSI Chromebook program, to the digital media classes, computer-based literacy and writing instruction, while migrating to a 1:1 classroom environment.
The application of this technology promotes the development of 21st Century skills, which aim to maximize Shull School students’
