Festival of the Andes
PERTH AMBOY – This year’s Festival of the Andes, a Celebration of the Andean Culture and Heritage will be enjoying its ninth anniversary! We will commemorate it with exciting events and special programming.
The Andes Festival will take place on Saturday June 28, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. A rain date on Sunday June 29th.
We will be featuring continuous folk music, dance, educational workshops, face painting and arts and crafts. We will also present musical performances of groups from Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Venezuela and Chile.
This event is free to the public and co-sponsored by the City of Perth Amboy, Office of Recreation and the Business Improvement District. The festival is being sponsored by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Arts awarded through the Middlesex County and Heritage Commission and the Board of Freeholders.
Festival De Los Andes

El Festival de los Andes esta celebrando su noveno aniversario el Sabado Junio 28 de 2014 en Perth Amboy!, En caso de lluvia el Domingo 29 de Junio.
Lo conmemoraremos con excitantes eventos y nueva programacion. El festival presentara grupos andinos de danza y musica tipica de Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina y Bolivia. Tendremos instrumentos autoctonos de esas regiones y pintura de caritas para niños, talleres de danza. Ademas tendremos artesania y comidas tipicas tradicionales de nuestros paises andinos.
El festival es auspiciado por la Ciudad de Perth Amboy, la Oficina de Recreacion, la Asociacion de Mejoramiento de Negocios y, por el apoyo monetario de la Comision de la Herencia y la Cultura de Middlesex.
