WOODBRIDGE – The Robert E. Lee Civil War Round Table of Central New Jersey will host its annual Civil War Living History Weekend at Parker Press Park on Rahway Ave., Woodbridge on Saturday and Sunday, August 2-3.
Take a step back in time 150 years ago and see how soldiers from the North and South lived and fought in America’s Civil War. Walk thru the military and civilian camps and speak with the re-enactors and Civil War living historians. Both days will feature a small battle followed by a medical demonstration. Also, you may purchase wares from Civil War era sutlers.
The camps are open to the public 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday evening there will be a special 150th Civil War Commemoration Ceremony at 8:00 p.m. followed by a candle light walk thru the camps 8:30-10:00 p.m.
All are welcome and admission and parking are free. This event will be held rain or shine.
