Players compete in second annual 9-ball tournament.

WOODBRIDGE – On June 12th a pool tournament was held at the Woodbridge Community Center. This was no ordinary tournament. It was the second annual 9 ball single elimination tournament for the “David’s Touch Foundation”, put on by the Woodbridge Seniors Billiards Club. Members of the Perth Amboy Seniors Billiards Club also participated in the tournament.

The David’s Touch Foundation was founded in 2009 by Jenny Rosado in memory of her son David, who passed away in February of 2005 at the age of eight, after battling lymphoma.

One recipient is chosen to receive 100 percent of the proceeds from this tournament. This year the foundation chose a 6 year old named Sasha who is suffering from Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

All of the people who worked on the project are volunteers. The use of the facilities and lunch were donated by the Woodbridge Community Center and breakfast by Liberty Bagel of Fords.
