PERTH AMBOY – Mayor Wilda Diaz and the Perth Amboy Police Department gathered with the community for National Night Out 2014 last week at the Perth Amboy Train Station.
“The Police Department has hosted this event for several years—to promote safety and crime prevention with a partnership between local organizations and government. It’s important to share safety information with our families especially with outreach through an enjoyable activities-filled event,” said Mayor Wilda Diaz.
There was food, entertainment, activities, safety information, giveaways and more. The event was free and open to the public.
“National Night Out highlights the importance of our partnership with community– Our strength comes within the unity between the community and businesses who are our eyes and ears, they allow us to address the quality of life issues that affect us on a daily basis,” said Chief Benjamin Ruiz.
