PERTH AMBOY – On 10/9/15 at the Perth Amboy YMCA, Lawrence J. Cattano was sworn in as Deputy Chief of Police along with Eddie Padilla as Lieutenant.
Cattano is a 24 year veteran of the PAPD. He was appointed a Police Officer in 1991. Deputy Chief Cattano has numerous certifications in EMS, Fire fighting, Homeland Security – too many to list.
When coming up to speak at the podium, Cattano stated that since he was appointed Acting Deputy Chief, he strived to improve the quality of life in Perth Amboy. This included summons being issued for repeated incidents of loud music and other quality of life violations. He emphasized the importance of leadership with a young department and the challenges ahead.
Fire Chief Abraham Pitre came up to the podium to speak, offering his congratulations to Cattano.
Perth Amboy Politics always a toxic soup of “Mob Bullying” and “Corporate Psychopathy.” There’s always one, at the root of it. That would be Ken Balut. Its not common knowledge but its in the Minutes of a Council Meeting. Ken Balut lifted a Photo of Ben Ruiz from a Council Members Face Book page with out the Council Members knowledge. Sent it to Public Media. I believe the Hone News framing it as Ben being in Uniform at an Election was deviant of policy. It turned out that Ben was not in violation of any policy pretaining to his function at the Election. If Ken Balut would premeditate the lifting of a photo in an omitting manner, send it to Public Media in the above form and fashion. I feel its plausable for Ken Balut to premeditate other scenerios concerning Ben Ruiz. My Criminal Justice Professor at Middlesex County College once said, “Its not a crime to have a Criminal Mindset.” I say “look at the scapegoat and the Sociopath will be in the mix Everytime.” I’m not accusing Ken Balut of being a Sociopath. I’m simply saying do your research and find your own conclusion. Judith Haney
