PERTH AMBOY – Hy Tavern held a Pig Roast on Saturday, July 22, 2017. The proceeds from the roast were donated to National Night Out to be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. A previous fundraiser (Cigar Night) was held in memory of the late Fire Chief Abraham Pitre. The proceeds were given to the Perth Amboy Animal Shelter per the request of Abraham Pitre’s family. The Chief was a great lover of all animals and the family knew that is what he would have wanted. In the past, the Hy Tavern has held several fundraisers such as events benefiting cancer research and women’s health services by donating funds to the JRF, and to the Perth Amboy Police Project Lifesaver Program, an organization to assist those suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Carolyn was surprised for her birthday with a special cake that was baked by Shirley.
