PERTH AMBOY/WOODBRIDGE – The New Jersey Senior Olympics is a member of the National Senior Games Association which sponsors alternate year national Senior Olympic Games at venues across the country. The New Jersey Senior Olympics features 24 sporting events in which male and female senior athletes age 50 and older compete for gold, silver and bronze in various age categories. This year the competition was hosted at the Woodbridge Community Center on September 9th and 10th and drew thousands of competitive senior athletes. We are proud of our senior athletes who competed collectively and won 15 gold medals, 7 silvers and Sue Freeman-Patterson broke 1 state record in the 50 freestyle.
