WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) today announced three research grants for Rutgers University totaling nearly $800,000. The grants will fund research into breast cancer, sleep and metabolism diseases, and liver fibrosis.
“As technologies and science improve and progress, our commitment to cancer prevention and other disease and health research must be strengthened as well,” said Congressman Pallone. “These grants bring us one step closer to curing debilitating diseases and conditions. I am proud that Rutgers University, one of the leading research institutions in the world, is receiving these grants. I know it will put them to good use.”
Congressman Pallone is the Ranking Member on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees healthcare.
