The Royal Garden Club by the Bay

PERTH AMBOY – The Royal Garden Club by the Bay has been affiliated with the Garden Club of New Jersey since 1993 with the purpose of crating period gardens around the Royal Governor’s Mansion and public gardens throughout the City of Perth Amboy.

The members have done a wonderful job on the following thirteen gardens in the City: The Girl Scout Youth Garden, The Rose Garden, The Herb Garden and Rosemary’s Garden all locate d at the Kearny Cottage, The Community Garden at St Peter’s Episcopal Church, The Rock Garden on Front Street next to the marina office, The Fragrance Garden at High Street City Hall, The Market Square Garden on High Street Circle, The Butterfly Garden and the Hummingbird Garden, both located at the intersection of Sadowski Parkway and High Street, and the Veteran’s Memorial Garden on Sadowski Parkway. They have been the recipients of many awards, trophies, and certificates for this work.

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month, except December, January and February at St. Peter’s Parish House located at 183 Rector Street. Some of these 7 p.m. meetings include instructional programs, and all include refreshments.

Wednesday, March 7, 2018 – Herbert Ling presenting on Wildflowers for the Home Gardener

Wednesday, May 2, 2018 – Margo Reynolds presenting on An Introduction to Bonsai

Wednesday, June 6, 2018 – Josephine M. Giaimo presenting on All About Honeybees

Wednesday, August 1, 2018 – Annual diner meeting at the Barge
