Haven’t filed your taxes yet? Sign up NOW to reserve one of the limited spaces provided by VITA (United Way). VITA free tax preparation assistance for individuals earning less than $64,000 per year is available on Monday, April 9 for drop off service only from 10 am– 12 noon. Pick up return on Wednesday April 11.  Registration is required:  732-721-6060 or comments@dowdell.org

Experience Chinese Culture with Celebrate! The Year of the Dog event on Sunday, April 29 from 1:30-3:30 pm. Fun activities will be available for the whole family.  Celebrate! The Year of the Dog event will begin at 1:30 p.m. sharp with a dazzling Lion Dance performed by students from the Edison Chinese School.  A delightful traditional dance, fashion show, and orchestral performance will follow.  Art stations featuring Chinese painting, calligraphy and origami demonstrations will be showcased. Attendees with food tickets will be treated to traditional Chinese refreshments at the conclusion of the program.  Directions: www.dowdell.org  Don’t forget to stop in to view the special Year of the Dog exhibition, which will be on display starting March 1.
