Spring officially arrived on March 21st, although you wouldn’t have known it due to the 4th Nor’easter’s arrival. For now, the remainder of snow is melting away and crocuses, hyacinths, daffodils, and tulips are beginning to blossom. The weather is getting warmer (although ever so slowly). The beginning of baseball season is this Thursday (3/29/18). I don’t know about you, but I start getting spring fever by the end of March.
The date of Easter Sunday is usually the first Sunday after the first Full Moon occurring on or after the March equinox. This week, we celebrate Easter on Sunday, April 1st. Easter commemorates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Passover this year starts sundown of March 30 and ends at sundown on Saturday, April 7th. Passover lasts generally about 8 days and commemorates the liberation of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt. It begins on the 15th day of Nisan, which is the seventh month in the Jewish calendar. Since Hebrew days begin and end at sundown, Passover begins at sundown on the preceding day.
We are hoping everybody enjoys the week coming up with your family and friends.
