PERTH AMBOY – Easter is celebrated as the most significant day of worship in the Christian faith. “During Holy Week and Easter we are reminded of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, the foundation of our faith,” stated Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr., Senior Pastor of Cathedral International. The following are service that everyone is invited to attend:
Holy Week
• Maundy Thursday, March 29, 2018, 7 p.m., Holy Communion and a Foot Washing service is held to remember the Last Supper and Jesus washing the 12 disciples’ feet.
• Good Friday, March 30, 2018, 6:30 will include Stations of the Cross, Baptism and the “Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross.”
Resurrection Sunday
• Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, worship services at 6am, 9:30am and 12 noon. The entire family will enjoy this high holy day of festive worship that will include liturgical dance, singing accompanied by a band and orchestra, prayers and the empowering Easter message.
