WOODBRIDGE – On May 11 the Woodbridge Main Library will begin a new film series scheduled Friday afternoons at 2 PM that will focus on fathers and fatherhood. The first movie is Beginners, a romantic comedy drama based on the true story of an elderly man’s exploration as an openly gay man. Christopher Plummer received the 2011 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in this film. On May 18, we will screen Place Beyond the Pines, a crime drama with Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Emory Cohen and Dane DeHaan. May 25 will feature Nebraska, a film chronicling a father – son road trip from Montana to Nebraska. Delivery Man, a comedy about a slacker who donates to a fertility clinic, will be shown on June 4, followed by Walking Out, an adventure film about the survival of a father and son stranded in the Montana wilderness. Our series concludes on June 15 with Glass Castle, a biographical drama based on Jeannette Walls’ memoir of the same name
