I recall visiting you at your office when you became City Clerk to congratulate you and now on your retirement again. Congratulations.

As you already know, I’m someone who thinks outside of the box. I don’t care if someone agrees (well, I’d prefer that!) or disagrees with me as long as they can see my point and it makes them think as well. I’m enclosing the article about the retiring police chief for you to read. By the time he is 75 years old, he will have received more than $4 million for doing nothing. I can’t even imagine the other benefits he will get! When I was a kid, we used to play cops and robbers – I’ve come to realize that it is frequently one and the same thing! Sadly, as their employers we have no voice in such matters.
