Business Improvement District Offering Early-Bird Pricing

Early-bird tickets are available now for Taste of Perth Amboy 2018, which will be held on October 18th. More than 30 restaurants, cafes, taquerias and food purveyors are expected to participate, chef still have time to register for The Taste. Save the Date on the Calendar for the City’s Premier Cuisine Event this fall

PERTH AMBOY– Early-bird pricing is now available for what will surely be the hottest ticket in Perth Amboy this fall.

The City’s Business Improvement District (BID) just began selling tickets to Taste of Perth Amboy 2018. The much-anticipated event will be held on Thursday, October 18th from 6 to 9 PM. From now through Monday, September 10, adult admission is just $25 a person.

Attendees will be treated to a delectable sampling of Latin and international cuisine. More than 30 local restaurants, cafes, fast-casual eateries, bakeries and food artisans are participating in The Taste.

Everyone who enjoys fine food, good company and great music is encouraged to order their tickets online for The Taste. Now is the time to act by simply clicking to the Taste of Perth Amboy 2018page on Eventbrite. Here is the link to page: www.tasteofpa2018.eventbrite.com.  Seniors, 60 and older, may also register online for The Taste at the cost of $15, which is the same fee for children under 17.

The Taste will be held aboard the spacious Cornucopia Cruise Line’s St. Charles vessel that is docked along the Raritan River. Plenty of free parking is available in the lot adjoining the Cornucopia’s paddle-wheel ship, which is located at 401 Riverview Drive.

Perth Amboy Mayor Wilda Diaz, BID Chairman Barry Rosengarten and the BID’s Board of Directors are asking each of the City’s restaurants, cafes, bakeries and food purveyors to register for The Taste. Over 350 food lovers and gastronomes are expected to attend. Trophies will be awarded in the following categories: Best Taste, Best Dessert and Best Presentation. 

This year, all proceeds raised through the sale of tickets to The Taste 2018 will be donated to the Perth Amboy YMCA’s Homeless Initiative.

Community and Chefs Connect for a Grand Evening of Food, Music and Fun

A committee of BID Directors and staff are organizing The Taste 2018. The Committee Chairman Jason Conway, who is Vice President of Provident Bank in Perth Amboy, said, “I would like to invite everyone to join us on October 18th for the annual Taste event. One of the major heartbeats of this City is our restaurants, and this great evening gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy the cuisine from highly talented chefs. This is also a superb opportunity for our restaurants to reach a wider range of food lovers, who will soon become their new customers.”

Perth Amboy Mayor Diaz, the BID and the City’s Office of Economic and Community Development are presenting and sponsoring the Taste of Perth Amboy 2018.
