Raritan Bay Area YMCA Coach Strived in the 2018 Pan-American U.S. Masters National Championships

PERTH AMBOY – Our very own Competitive Stroke Coordinator Darian Russell competed in the 2018 Pan-American U.S. Masters National Championships in Orlando, Florida on July 28 – August 3, 2018. Coach Darian showcased his skills among extremely talented swimmers from all over the nation. He did extremely well; we are so proud of him!
Darian competed in the 35-39 year old age group, in the 50 meter Freestyle and the 100 meter Freestyle, he came in 2nd on both events in his heat. Not only that, but he finished TOP TEN OVERALL IN BOTH EVENTS!!! He came in 10th place in the 50 Free and 8th place in the 100 free. The type of dedication and commitment needed to accomplish such a feat is outstanding, and we are proud to have him on our team!
