PERTH AMBOY – P.A.R.T.N.E.R. (Perth Amboy Redevelopment Team For Neighborhood Enterprise and Revitalization) held a Block Party at Willow Pond Village located at 601 Chamberlain Ave.
Present at the Block Party were the Board Chair and Willow Pond Village Resident Dorothy Carty-Daniel. Daniel also introduced other P.A.R.T.N.E.R. Members present. The Perth Amboy Fire Department, Police Department, and the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department had tables set up to hand out literature and also had a great interaction with the residents.
40 colorful backpacks donated by the Kiwanis Club were distributed to the children of Willow Pond Village.
50 green backpacks filled with essential snacks and personnel products were donated by Investor’s Savings Bank. 10 of those backpacks were donated to 19th District Senator Joe Vitale, who brought along his granddaughter. The backpacks were for STAND for children, that he founded.
Councilman Fernando Irizarry attended. Hotdogs, pizza, and water were served during the event. David Leonaris, Special Investigator of the Division of Criminal Justice, State of New Jersey made a special guest appearance.
