PERTH AMBOY – Perth Amboy Artworks has had another great season at the Perth Amboy Ferry Slip! On the Autumn equinox under the Harvest Moon on September 22, please join us for our season 2 finale! Enjoy a beautiful evening on the Waterfront celebrating Hispanic Heritage with music and dancing in the moonlight with Segunda Quimbamba!
Segunda Quimbamba is a dance and drum ensemble that perform authentic bomba and plena, the vibrant traditional folk music style of Puerto Rico. Band director Juan Cartagena is a recognized master folk artist by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Segunda Quimbamba has performed at festivals, concert series and venues throughout NJ, NY & PA and has also toured internationally. Be moved to dance on September 22 by an inspiring performance by Segunda Quimbamba under the Harvest Moon on the Perth Amboy Waterfront! Free and all ages!
