PERTH AMBOY – Perth Amboy Mayor Wilda Diaz (L) welcomed New Jersey Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver (C) to the City during the Town Hall Business Meeting that was held at Raritan Yacht Club on September 20. Lt. Governor Oliver met with more than 100 Latina and minority women business owners, entrepreneurs and corporate executives. Mayor Diaz and the City hosted the event along the nonprofit Latinas in Business organization. Before taking a series of questions from the audience, the Lt. Governor encouraged the entrepreneurs and business people to continually cultivate new contacts, communicate with elected representatives about their needs and make use of the many free resources available from the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers. Shown in the photo (L to R) are Mayor Wilda Diaz, N.J. Lt. Governor Sheila Oliver and Latinas in Business President & CEO Susana G Baumann. The town hall meeting was sponsored by Comcast Spotlight, Investors Bank and the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District (BID).
