South Amboy Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Panel Announces Date for 2019 Parade

SOUTH AMBOY- Planning for the annual South Amboy Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is well underway and this year the parade committee is excited to announce the inclusion of three new bands to its line-up.  David Ceden’o and his Orchestra will provide a Latin beat with the sounds of Salsa music while the UpTown String and the Avalon String Bands will bring the color, excitement and grandeur of the Philadelphia Mummers to Bordentown Ave and Broadway at 2pm on Saturday, March 16th.

The South Amboy Saint Patrick’s Day Committee is also pleased to announce that Christine Noble, South Amboy Councilwoman at Large, will serve as the 2019 Grand Marshall. Born and raised in South Amboy to Claire (McKeon) and Robert Noble, Ms. Noble is a graduate of H. G. Hoffman High School and has been employed at the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for the past 25 years. 

Ms. Noble is the former coach of South Amboy Recreation’s girls’ basketball and softball, girls’ 6th, 7th and 8th grade basketball at Sacred Heart School and Girls JV and Varsity basketball at Cardinal McCarrick High School.  Active in many aspects of the city, Ms. Noble has served as a member of the South Amboy Planning and Zoning Board and as the 2nd Ward Council Women. 

The 2019 Honorary Grand Marshall is Mark Rasimowicz, who serves as City Engineer for South Amboy, Perth Amboy and Monroe Township. Mr. Rasimowicz is employed as the Director of Engineering at Center State Engineering, a full-service consulting engineering company, located in Monroe Township.  

Serving as Deputy Grand Marshal will be South Amboy Fire Chief, Mike Toth.  A of Hoffman High School, Mr. Toth joined Independence Engine & Hose Company in 1984. In addition to volunteering his time with the South Amboy Fire Department, Mr. Toth is a softball baseball and basketball coach for the Sayreville Athletic Association. 

Special Honored Guests at the parade will be; Yolanda Flores, Vice President and Director of Sales at the Rosengarten Development Corp., Perth Amboy and George Gonzales, owner of Mid Jersey Medical Supply, South Amboy. Mr. Gonzales also serves as President of the South Amboy Business Association.
