PERTH AMBOY – Gary Rumpf (center, holding plaque) was recently honored for his outstanding service on the Board of Directors of the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District (BID). Mr. Rumpf’s many responsibilities include his leadership on the BID’s Façade Committee, which provides grants to property and business owners who significantly enhance the exterior of their buildings or storefronts. Mr. Rumpf also regularly volunteered his time to plan, manage and participate in the BID’s programs, special events and projects. He is retiring from BID, and the city will miss his many efforts to serve and improve the community.
