AETNA Takes Lead on Women’s Health Initiative with the JRMC

Aetna and the Jewish Renaissance Medical Center Host Gala to Expand Women’s Health Services and Awareness

PERTH AMBOY – The Jewish Renaissance Medical Center announces the launch of their Women’s Health Initiative’s (WHI) with Aetna as the event sponsor for a gala dinner to be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the spectacular Grand Marquis, in Old Bridge, NJ, from 6:30pm-10:30pm. To mark this year’s event, the JRMC will honor the following recipients:

  • Bonnie Nolan, Ph.D., for the Magnanimity Award Darlene Forbes, M.D., for the Woman of Leadership Award
  • Taqualla Lowman, Woman of Service Award

“For over 20 years, the JRMC, has been providing education, resources, and preventive care and personal health management to the City of Perth Amboy and it neighboring communities”, stated John T. O’Leary, JRMC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Each year, the need for education and awareness for women’s health increases. In Middlesex County, there are 421,000 females of which 38.2% are the age 40+. In addition, the JRMC has served 26,000 patients of which 60% of which are women. As part of our ongoing mission to increase access to health, the WHI will expand JRMC’s reach on education and awareness to save lives. We are excited to have Aetna share in the mission in women’s health programs. They are a key partner who currently offer programs that facilitate a holistic member view, consider multiple diseases and conditions across all benefits plans and deliver individualized programs based on a member’s unique needs and preferences.”

WHI is a 501 ©3 integrative health endeavor that expands JRMC’s Women’s Wellness to include mammograms, nutrition, and other vital services integral to a woman’s healthy mind and body, regardless of income. The gala dinner invites all to be part in the making the WHI mission to deliver access of health for woman’s wellness through the coordination of education, essential services, and support regardless of income or insurance status.
