•Opening Remarks: Barry Rosengarten, Chairman of the Perth Amboy BID.
“BID’s networking evenings provide a wonderful opportunity for business owners, both old and new,” says Mr. Rosengarten, “to share their knowledge on building and sustaining a business in Perth Amboy. There always seems to be a cross-fertilization of shared experiences and positive ideas that result from such events”.
Mr. Rosengarten may also remind attendees that Perth Amboy and South Amboy are sponsoring their annual fireworks spectacular on Thursday, July 3rd. Many local companies help sponsor the giant pyrotechnics display over Raritan Bay.
“These networking programs”, says Mr. De La Hoz, “open up access to new markets, capital investment, and foster relationships that are mutually beneficial. They offer a forum for attracting new business owners into our corporate community and connects them to seasoned entrepreneurs who can offer valuable business information”.
Executive Director Tracey Fredericks of New Jersey’s Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) Program, said “Our hope is that the Perth Amboy’s UEZ program will be the added benefit needed to keep current businesses and bring new businesses to the area. When that happens, jobs are created. That is what the UEZ is all about.
