“Your lies are over, Beck!” – Spider-Man
After the events of “Avengers: Endgame”, life in the Marvel Universe tries to get back to normal. We’re in a world where the kids in New York have to start their school year over. Finally, the year is coming to an end. Spider-Man is looking forward to summer vacation. Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) plan for the summer is to admit to his longtime girlfriend, Mary Jane (Zendaya) that he likes her, and he doesn’t want to save the world. Mysteriously the high school is sent on a science trip to Europe, but when giant elemental creatures attack in Europe, somebody has to gear up when a new hero arrives on the scene and everyone starts calling him Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), S.H.I.E.L.D. and Spider-Man team-up along with Nick Fury in order the stop the Elementals. Mysterio says he’s from another dimension where these creatures destroyed his world, but it seems Mysterio maybe not be all what he seems to be.
Spider-Man Far From Home is probably one of the best live action Spiderman movies. It even sets up for future events in the Marvel Universe. Tom Holland is a great Peter Parker and Spider-Man. This is more like the Ultimate Spider-Man from the comics, where Spider-Man is younger kid learning how to be a hero and learning how to use his powers. He is also learning how to be a regular kid and a superhero. We also give some of Spider-Man’s friends some stuff to do while trying to keep his secrets and fight the good fight against evil Mysterio is one heck of a villain. The costume looks wonderful with the helmet, cape and whole ensemble. This is a fun movie with plenty of action to take everybody to. (There is some cursing) It’s an adventure, and they let Spiderman grow up a little bit. Definitely stay through the ending credits with the return of an old friend in the Spider-Man universe. Go see Spiderman: Far From Home.
