Take Notice that an application for a waterfront development individual permit has been submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), Division of Land Use Regulation (DLUR) for the development described below:

APPLICANT: Optical Communication Group

PROJECT NAME: Arthur Kill Bore 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Proposed installation of new fiber optic duct in an existing easement to replace a submerged coaxial cable across the river by horizontal bore from Staten Island, NY more than 50 feet from the shoreline to the Perth Amboy, NJ side. Existing surface laid coaxial cable is to be removed by reclamation barge. New duct will be connected to existing duct on land by trenching. Bore slurry will be disposed of offsite under applicable regulation. No fill will be placed in the waterways and/or wetlands below the SHW.
