South Amboy St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee Announces 2020 Honorees

SOUTH AMBOY – 2020 marks the 44th annual South Amboy Saint Patrick’s Day Parade set to begin at 2 pm on Sunday, March 15.   This year, the committee has chosen to highlight residents of South Amboy who have a history of volunteerism and service to the city and residents of South Amboy.

Serving as Grand Marshals of the 2020 parade will be Tim and Karen Woziak, lifelong resident of South Amboy have a 20 plus year history of volunteering for various organizations throughout the city.  Mr. Woziak, in additional to his position as a volunteer fire figher with the South Amboy Fire Department, he also serves as a member of the South Amboy First Aid Squad. Mrs. Woziak, is also a member of the South Amboy First Aid Squad and along with her husband has been active in South Amboy’s youth baseball, softball, football and basketball programs. 

Dennis Kelly, President of APG Security, has been named Honorary Grand Marshal and joins his brother Brian, mother and father as individuals recognized and honored by the South Amboy Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.  Dennis has been honored and recognized over the last 30 years for his contributions and philanthropy by various local, county and state civic groups. 

Hoffman High School graduate and South Amboy resident Larry Parsons will serve as Deputy Grand Marshall. A member of the Protection Engine Company #1 since 1973, Larry is also a retired member of the South Amboy First Aid Squad and active in many civic organizations that benefit the residents of South Amboy.  

In addition, Karen Robson, Director Of Operations, South Amboy YMCA Branch and Mary Szaro, President of the Historical Society of South Amboy will be recognized as  Special Honored Guests for their contributions to the City of South Amboy on parade day.
