Changes Regarding Public Attendance at Caucus/Council Meetings

PERTH AMBOY – The Perth Amboy City Council put out the following statement:

Dear Resident,

In light of the numerous Executive Orders closing businesses and prohibiting public gatherings and in an abundance of caution in light of our current public health emergency:

WE WILL NOT ALLOW THE PUBLIC TO COME INTO CITY HALL FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

The safety of our residents and workers is our paramount concern but steps must also be made to ensure continuity of governmental operations.

These operations include meetings of the City Council.

Only City Council members and staff members required will be allowed in the meeting.

The Police will bar all others.

In order to facilitate open government to the best of our ability, the City will take the following steps.

Members of the public wishing to view the agenda or participate via our call in telephone feature may do so.  Three minute time period please.
