A Voting Problem?

The flu epidemic has ended, perhaps a once in a lifetime event. What if it reappears at the end of October? Will the elections be cancelled, deferred, or extended?

Would voting by last name order over a few days protect the people who show up at the polls?

Voting by mail may cost more, take more time, and not be preferred by voters. It opens the door for irregularities as in the past.
