Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen honored Dedication to Veterans

MIDDLESEX COUNTY – The first annual Middlesex County Veterans Award Breakfast took place on October 17 at 11 a.m. Originally scheduled for April, the program was held outdoors, by invitation only, to abide by COVID-19 guidelines at the American Legion Joyce Kilmer Post 25 Pavilion located at 4J F Kennedy Drive, Milltown, NJ 08850. The Veterans Awards Breakfast was a tribute to all veterans regardless of their military branch. Service providers who have given exemplary service and advocacy to the veteran and military community were honored. Catholic Charities Acting Executive Director, Julio Coto, was honored at this year’s event for leadership and selfless acts of time and dedication to the veterans of Middlesex County.

Other awardees included: Middlesex County Freeholder Director- Ronald G. Rios, Veterans Diversion Program Deputy First Assistant Prosecutor- Brian Gillet, Veterans Diversion Program Mentors: Timothy Coghan, Rajesh Chopra, Cal Carlstrom, Rich Liebler, & Jaime Schleck, Middlesex County Veteran Services: Doug Breen, &Henry Busby, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 370- Robert Porter, South Plainfield Police Department – Jansen Ortiz, Sayreville Police Department: Chris Englebrecht, & David Wilikins Jr, Law Offices of Jay Weinberg – Jay Weinberg, Joyce Kilmer American Legion Post #25 Ladies Auxiliary, Woodbridge Elks, Rebuilding Warriors – Nancy Mullins, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2319, Milltown – Robert Kolesar, and Middlesex County.
