Press Release, PERTH AMBOY, NJ – The Perth Amboy Redevelopment Agency would like to pay tribute to Tate Goss, President and CEO of Viridian Partners, who passed away in late October. Mr. Goss and Viridian Partners spearheaded several significant redevelopment projects in the City of Perth Amboy including the ePort Logistics Center.
“Tate created deals with unparalleled commitment to strengthening the communities fortunate enough to work with Viridian. His work in Perth Amboy was no different. We are deeply saddened by his passing,” said Perth Amboy Redevelopment Agency Executive Director Annie Hindenlang.
Since co-founding Viridian Partners in 2004, Mr. Goss was instrumental in redeveloping over 1,000 acres of contaminated land into 13.2 million square feet of warehouse distribution buildings. In partnership with PARA, Viridian created over 1 million square feet of warehousing space while cleaning up over 70 acres of heavily contaminated land and improving public infrastructure as a part of their ePort project when most other private investors abandoned projects as a result of the 2008 financial crisis.
“Tate saw the Perth Amboy its residents know and love. He wanted to be a part of its next renaissance and helped lay part of the foundation for it,” said Hindenlang. “The ePort project is a product of his persistence and vast expertise. He will be deeply missed.”
Viridian Partners will carry on Mr. Goss’s legacy and will continue to collaborate with PARA and the City, particularly in regards to efforts underway to remediate the 50-acre former Celotex site along the Raritan River.
