Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center Perth Amboy Named One of The Nation’s Lowest Rates of Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections

PERTH AMBOY, N.J. – Hackensack Meridian Raritan Bay Medical Center Perth Amboy is proud to announce it has been named one of the nation’s lowest rated catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI), according to data from CMS.gov.  

“We are pleased to receive this recognition as one of the nation’s lowest rated catheter-associated urinary tract infections,” said William DiStanislao, interim president, chief hospital executive; vice president, operations, Raritan Bay Medical Center. “This is a true testament to the incredible work our team members put in each and every day.”

In New Jersey, Raritan Bay Perth Amboy is one of  just four hospitals recognized for this achievement.  Those hospitals include, CarePoint Health-Hoboken University Medical Center, Monmouth Medical Center and St. Luke’s Warren Hospital. These hospitals had a Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections score of zero. The figures represent data collected from Jan. 1, 2019, through Dec. 31, 2019. In total, 2,203 hospitals received a numeric calculation of the standardized infection ratio.
