PERTH AMBOY – At City Hall Circle on Monday July 4^th 12:30 p.m, Colonial cannon firing along with fife & drums music will commence.  Sons of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Revolution, and local reenactors will participate, as will members of the Perth Amboy community.   There will be Ceremony, the Declaration of Independence will be read & our Mayor will ring the Liberty Bell replica 13 times.

Our Liberty Bell, located in the center of City Hall Circle, is one of 53 Liberty Bell replicas given to our Nation by France.  Perth Amboy has one, as it was the Colonial Capital of East Jersey and New Jersey.   Congress resolved that the Perth Amboy Liberty Bell be rung on July 4^th, and the Declaration Of Independence be read.
