PERTH AMBOY – Fleet Week New York City is an annual event to showcase Naval and Marine Corps air and surface assets in the metro area. Aviation demonstrations, robotics, and technology based systems are on display for STEM learning opportunities.
The Navy and Marine Corps traditionally select a few high schools in the New York metro area to conduct aviation visits during the third week in May. This event will coincide with the Navy and Marine Corps’ national 250th birthday celebrations which will take place in Philadelphia in the Fall of 2025.
The Marine Corps has selected Dalton Park adjacent to Perth Amboy High School for a landing event on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm. This visit will include a Sikorsky CH 53K, the largest and newest helicopter in the inventory, STEM equipment displays, conversational and experiential learning opportunities with pilots and flight crews, drone demonstrations, weapons system education, and rotary wing aircraft flyovers.
Perth Amboy High School’s Navy JROTC program will be hosting this exclusive event.
