On 5/19/13 a state meeting of the Military Order of the Purple Heart was held at the Vietnam Veterans War Memorial at the Garden State Arts Center. Major discussion was the expansion of the chapter members throughout the state.

Due to the increase of casualties in recent wars, it is most important that these men and women who have sacrificed their future for our safety be remembered and cared for.

When the public realizes the contribution of our comrades, then and only then will this country rise to the greatest it once was. It is sad and a disgrace that the administration is hell bent on cutting back the military. We have officially now become known as the laughing stock of the world due to the actions of a president who does not know how to lead. This man constantly apologizes for the successes of America.

Not only has Obama structured his social order in such a way, but he is able to stand and say things that happen under his watch are not his fault – it was the government’s fault. This is the liberal progressive way, “Don’t blame me. I didn’t do it , it was the government.” He set things in motion to cast blame elsewhere.

He is now deeply involved in 3 critical scandals which paint him in a negative light – so much for transparency. He has spoken out on Bengazi and said it was old news. He has covered up information that would be damaging to the image.

The IRS which was set up to fund the Democratic re-election for Obama has set its focus on Conservative Republicans and the Tea Party organizations where by only monies that could be donated to Republican candidates would be curtailed.

According to Obama, his stimulus package was a success. He gave our money & CEO’s took bonuses of failed companies. The economy continues to flounder. No one knows what to do. We have no leader.

His Obamacare Health Plan is set to bankrupt this country. It was passed with bribes, threats, arm twisting and backroom deals. Nancy Pelosi’s, “Let’s pass it to see what’s in it,” worked for Obama. Today even many Democrats are disenchanted with Obama.

Just think of the tools he has given us. Food stamps, welfare, government handouts, open borders and dependency on big government. Is this the path which will make the future secure for our children? When we were children we learned not to touch a hot stove or pot – only after teaching it and getting burned did we learn a lesson.

Obama’s system is to tax the rich. Well, the rich are the people who provide jobs for the poor. Do not kill the goose that laid the golden egg. The Bible gave us a system of taxation. It is called, “tithing.” Stephen Forbes came out the idea of a 17% flat tax. That would have been a solution to heal all the wounds and satisfy all levels of income. The problem with that is government would not grow to the level Obama wants it to.

Are we to become the Empire of Rome had become? At that time, the greatest Empire in the world, the largest army, the mightiest generals. But the one thing they did was tax the people beyond their capacity to survive. The taxed the provinces forcing them to revolt. Sound familiar?? Is this the final chapter of our great country? Will we go down in flames that the great Empire of Rome has? If we do not learn from history, we will be forced to repeat it. There will be greater consequences that are forthcoming.

I know from experience that wounds I received in Vietnam were the results of my love of this country. I was prepared to die and would have if it was to be. Many of my friends never came home and those that did had the resolve to show others that war freedom is the most important thing we have. If we don’t have freedom, we can’t have anything. To those who fought for it the taste of freedom will never be so sweet.

In 1968 I was 19 years old, a marine in Vietnam. I served with distinction during the The offensive of 1968 in the bloodiest battle of Vietnam – Hue City.

Being wounded on 4 separate occasions, the last almost fatal I received 2 Purple Hearts. When duty called , I answered with my enlistment. The political environment in America at that time made winning impossible just as what is being perpetrated now.

With all the damage Obama has inflicted upon the country, are all you followers still marching in step with his idiotic antics? Are you still dazzled by his verbiage – do you still him as a “messiah.” If you do, your world will soon turn around.
