Advisory: No Public Access To Maurer Road – No Longer a Thru-Street Between Amboy Ave & State St

PERTH AMBOY — The public is advised that on December 30, 2013, the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders adopted Resolution #13-2307-R, officially vacating Maurer Road in the City of Perth Amboy as a public right-of-way.

Maurer Road has been vacated from a point on Maurer Road approximately one hundred (100) feet east of the New Jersey Transit railroad tracks to the terminus of Maurer Road at State Street.

As such and for the safety of drivers, Maurer Road is now a private roadway and as of Wednesday, January 29, 2014 can NO LONGER be used as a thru-street to travel between Amboy Avenue and State Street in the City of Perth Amboy. The roadway will continuously be occupied by truck traffic and for the use of Buckeye Partners.

The public is advised to plan an alternate route.
