PERTH AMBOY – The only truth to the statement made by Former Commissioner Peter Perez is that he has withdrawn his name from being reappointed for another term to the Housing Authority of the City of Perth Amboy (HACPA).

As far as the other allegations are concerned, the HACPA has been investigated AD NAUSEUM at the request of this Commissioner by all federal and state agencies having jurisdiction. In each and every instance, the HACPA has been cleared of all false accusations leveled against us. The administration and staff of the HACPA through inter-local agreements with 3 other Housing Authorities and Program Management

Agreements with 3 additional Housing Authorities throughout New Jersey take extreme pride in the fact that our 2089 families and seniors are being served in an exemplarily way with professionalism. We are held as a model for the entire nation to emulate.

The HACPA Commissioners are circumspect in assuring that all federal guidelines are strictly adhered to at all times. In conclusion, all future inquiries into practices and procedures of the HACPA will be cordially accepted ON THE RECORD at our regular meetings, or in response to all legitimate OPRA Requests.
