Our Lady of Peace Prepare Patriotic Crosses for Veterans

vetyy - 33FORDS – Mrs. Kristina Olenchak’s 2nd grade class at Our Lady of Peace School in Fords prepared patriotic crosses for the Veteran’s Home in Edison in honor of World Wide Vietnam Veteran’s Day on March 29.

This day is recognized around the country as a moment of reflection and a day of commemoration. It is a time to pay respect and to acknowledge veterans who sacrificed so much during the Vietnam War.

This project was the brain child of OLP religion teacher Mrs. Lori Clark. Students are encouraged to visit their local American Legion or VFW on this special day.
